Of the 4.71 acres, 1.6 acres are wooded/wetlands that attract turtles, owls, foxes, bald eagles, egrets, river otters, tree frogs (lots of frogs!), turkeys and deer. From 2017–2025, over 30 cubic yards of topsoil and perennial plantings were added to create gardens that attract butterflies and hummingbirds and feature azalea, hydrangea, hibiscus, black-eyed Susans, Joe Pye weed, crepe myrtle, rose of Sharon, Hosta, anemones, fern, cassia and more, along with year-round evergreens like holly, Goldust japonica, and spoon wood.
