When I walked into 1810 Wyoming Avenue 20 years ago, I immediately knew it was home. I loved every charming detail of it -- from the “double” entrance to the fireplace to the built-in book shelves. I pictured myself curling up by the fire on chilly nights with a book, hanging out on the deck with friends on summer nights, and roaming the hip neighborhood each weekend in search of the newest Ethiopian restaurant! I did all of those things and more while I lived at 1810 in my twenties.
Since then, Adams Morgan has grown and changed. It still has great restaurants, cozy cafés and that wonderfully inclusive feel that first drew me to the neighborhood. 1810 Wyoming remains one of the best locations in Washington from which to explore the city’s most vibrant neighborhood. Selling the condo is bittersweet for me. But I hope that the new owners will love it as much as I did -- and live a life as full as mine was while I lived there. “
